Please join the I-Neglect volunteers in our efforts to keep Texas beaches clean. We will be cleaning up Jamaica Beach this saturday April 28th 2012. I-Neglect is the official guardian of the Jamaica Beach portion of the Texas coastline, click on the picture to see pictures of the beach cleanup on September 24th 2011. Kurt J Henry Pres/Founder of I Neglect Inc. participated in Author C Goforth Elementary Schools REAL MEN READ 2nd grade reading program.I Neglect Inc, and its Board are avid backers of programs such as this one. I have become involved with my step daughters three children again after a seven year hiatus ,there names Kailey who is 13 now and Kenslee and Colton who are seven and eight. |

We all get a little bit overwhelmed by our lives, sometimes it`s better to let some time pass before we make an important decision that will will have long term consequences. Decisions made without clear thinking will tend to create poor outcomes. Always keep in mind the old quote "What goes around comes around." Sometimes it`s a good idea to stare at some fishes swimming around aimlessly, let your mind simmer down before we make that big decision. Images |

Every day more than 2000 children and teenagers die from an injury which could have been prevented. This joint WHO / UNICEF report is a plea to keep kids safe by promoting evidence-based injury prevention interventions and sustained investment by all sectors. The report presents the current knowledge about the five most important causes of unintentional injury – road traffic injuries, drowning, burns, falls and poisoning – and makes seven recommendations for action.

It never hurts to take precautions around water. Many of the tips mentioned, also apply to lake and bay swimming. By heeding these common sense suggestions, summertime trips to the beach, will not only be fun, but safe. Know how to swim. Most people who enter the ocean don’t swim in it. Most tend to jump and float. This prompts those who don’t know how to swim to enter waist-high water. Unfortunately oceans have currents that can quickly envelop the unassuming ocean bather, dragging them out, deep into ocean territory.
